In 1969 Linda was our bridesmaid. She was carrying a flower ball hanging on a ribbon. After the service, her mum and dad apologised to us for what she had been doing. We were completely unaware but during the ceremony, Linda had been standing behind us grinning and whirling the flower ball round and round. She made sure not to look at her mum and dad who were glaring at her. Betty and Jack were worried that the flowers might detach from the ribbon and go flying across the church but Linda was happy
